North Jersey Athletic Soccer Club
OPEN TRAINING SESSIONS
North Jersey ASC is a development-first competitive club. We measure our success in players — who they become technically, tactically, and as people. That's the commitment we make to every family who joins us.
We are not a club that chases trophies. We build players. Every training session, every match, every moment on the field is an opportunity to get better — and we expect our players to show up that way. Every time.
That kind of growth doesn't happen by accident. It requires commitment — not just in August when the season feels fresh, but in November when it's cold and in February when school gets busy. A player can't develop if they're not there. A team can't build chemistry if the roster keeps shifting. We take commitment seriously because development depends on it.
Open training sessions are open to all players in the U9–U15 age groups. Every player is evaluated across sessions on the same standard: technical ability, soccer IQ, coachability, and competitive mentality. No one has a guaranteed spot — including players who have been part of our program before. Roster offers are extended on a rolling basis through June.
If your player is ready for that, we want to see them on the field. Registration is required and spots are limited.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our Open training sessions are open to players in the U9 through U15 age groups — boys and girls.
Use the chart below to find your player's correct age group. North Jersey ASC follows the U.S. Soccer school-year standard, which uses an August 1 birth year cutoff — not January 1. This is a change from how most local recreational and travel programs have historically assigned age groups, and it matters: depending on when your player was born, they may be placed in a different group than you're expecting.
Here's how it works: a player's age group is based on the soccer year that begins on August 1. A player born on or after August 1, 2013 and before August 1, 2014 is a U13 — regardless of whether their birthday falls in the spring, summer, or fall of 2013. If you're not sure where your player falls, use the chart or contact us and we'll confirm it.

Every family will receive an email within one week of the conclusion of tryouts — regardless of the outcome. We believe every player who came out and competed deserves a clear, direct answer. You won't be left wondering.
North Jersey ASC is committed to making competitive club soccer accessible to every family in the communities we serve. We share full fee details with families at the time offers are extended — not before, because costs can vary by team and level of competition.
What we can tell you: our fees are not just competitive — they are meaningfully lower than most clubs in the area. We offer payment plans and need-based scholarships to eligible players. We are a non-profit organization, and that's not a formality. Our priority is our players, not our bottom line.
Pre-season training begins in August 2026, with competitive league play starting in September and running through November. The spring season begins in March 2027, with league and tournament play continuing through mid-June. A separate winter indoor program is also available.
Club teams train twice per week (90-minute sessions), play weekend league matches, and participate in tournaments during both the fall and spring seasons. Registration covers both the fall and spring seasons.
North Jersey ASC competes in the Northern Counties Soccer Association (NCSA) and EDP (Elite Development Platform) — two of the most well-regarded youth soccer leagues in the region. We are sanctioned by New Jersey Youth Soccer (NJYS), the governing body for youth soccer in the state.
No. We evaluate every player on what we see on the field — technical ability, soccer IQ, coachability, and competitive mentality. Prior club experience is not a prerequisite. If your player has the drive and the work ethic, we want to see them.
Players should arrive in athletic clothing appropriate for outdoor play, with cleats and shin guards. Bring a water bottle — tryouts are held in the evening but hydration always matters. If your player has their own ball, they're welcome to bring it, though it's not required. Most importantly: come ready to work hard, compete, and have fun.
We strongly encourage attendance at both sessions — our coaches use both dates to build a complete picture of each player. That said, we understand conflicts happen. If your player can only make one date, please reach out in advance at judah@athleticsoccerclub.org so we know to expect them and can make sure they receive a thorough evaluation.
OUR FEES
North Jersey ASC is committed to making competitive club soccer accessible to every family in the communities we serve. We don't post registration fees publicly — costs vary by team and level of competition, and we believe families deserve a real conversation, not a number on a webpage.
What we will tell you directly: our fees are not just competitive with other clubs in the area — they are meaningfully lower than most. We know what's out there. We built our fee structure with families in mind.
We offer payment plans and need-based scholarships to eligible players and families. No family should rule out North Jersey ASC based on cost before having a conversation with us. Reach out at judah@athleticsoccerclub.org — we'll talk through your situation honestly and privately.
Full fee details are shared with families at the time offers are extended. We are a true non-profit organization, and we take that seriously. Our bottom line is player developmen
