ASC College Pathway
Ready to see what ASC can offer?
Supporting Players Beyond the Game
At Athletic Soccer Club, our commitment to player development extends beyond the field. For players who have the ambition to continue their soccer and academic journey at the collegiate level, our ASC College Pathway provides guidance, education, exposure and support throughout the recruiting process.
College recruitment can be an exciting but sometimes overwhelming experience for players and families. Our goal is to help make that process clearer, more organized and more personal.
Dedicated College Liaison
ASC has a dedicated College Liaison who works directly with our players, families and coaches to help navigate the college recruitment process.
Rather than expecting families to figure everything out on their own, our College Liaison serves as a resource throughout the journey — helping players understand the process, prepare appropriately and identify opportunities that align with their individual goals.
Our College Liaison also works closely with ASC coaches and Directors to identify players with collegiate aspirations and ensure there is communication and support around their next steps.
A Pathway Built Around the Individual
There is no single college pathway that is right for every player.
Different players have different academic goals, playing levels, geographic preferences and priorities. ASC helps players understand the different opportunities available across the college soccer landscape, including NCAA, NAIA and junior college programs.
Our role is not simply to help players find a college. It is to help them find the right fit — academically, athletically and personally.
College Recruiting Support
Through the ASC College Pathway, players and families can receive guidance in areas including:
- Understanding the college recruiting timeline
- Identifying appropriate college programs
- Communicating professionally with college coaches
- Building player profiles and highlight videos
- Understanding NCAA, NAIA and junior college pathways
- Navigating eligibility and recruiting requirements
- Preparing for ID camps and showcases
- Developing a realistic target list of schools
- Understanding what college coaches look for in prospective student-athletes
- Evaluating academic, athletic and personal fit
- Guidance throughout the decision-making process
Just as importantly, we want our players to become proactive and confident in their own recruitment. We provide the guidance and resources, while helping players learn how to advocate for themselves and take ownership of their future.
ASC College ID Days
Exposure matters — and we want to create opportunities for our players within their own club environment.
ASC hosts College ID Days, bringing college coaches directly to our players and providing them with opportunities to train and play in front of coaches from collegiate programs.
These events give players valuable exposure while also allowing college coaches to evaluate ASC players in a competitive environment.
College ID Days are also about education and connection. Where possible, we create opportunities for players and families to hear directly from college coaches, ask questions and gain a better understanding of what the college recruiting process looks like from the other side.
Working Together
Successful college recruitment is a collaborative process.
Our players, families, team coaches, Directors and College Liaison all have a role to play.
ASC coaches know their players extremely well and can provide valuable insight into their development, character and playing level. Our College Liaison helps connect that knowledge with the broader recruiting process, while players are encouraged to take responsibility for communication, research and preparation.
By working together, we can give every player with collegiate ambitions the support they need to pursue them.
Preparing Players for What’s Next
For some ASC players, the next step will be NCAA soccer. For others, it may be NAIA, junior college or another collegiate opportunity.
Whatever that pathway looks like, our objective remains the same:
Develop the player. Educate the family. Create opportunities. Help each player find the right next step.
The ASC College Pathway is another part of our commitment to developing players not simply for their next game or next season — but for wherever the game can take them.
